Joe Hunter, host of the Cup 'A Joe Morning Show, grew up in North Carolina, with Andy Griffith, sweet tea, and
bar-b-que. Naturally, he had to make 10 straight free throws before they
would let him move to New York. Most people only gave him 6 months, but
God had other plans. Joe is a testament of God's incredible grace; a
person who moved here out of purely selfish motives who is being used
for his glory on a daily basis. God gave him a love for radio, something
that He uses for His glory to impact lives every day.
Dave Hunter, host of the Heading Home Show, says “I got into Radio because, while getting ready for my school day, I thought the guy on the Radio was having more fun in the morning than I was!” Dave is a veteran of Network Radio and several top-rated major market Radio Stations. Dave connects with his listeners and he knows Christian Radio music.
Jake Sommers, host of the Mid-Day Café, is one of the most authentic and compelling talents you’ll encounter on the Radio – connecting with listeners at every level. Jake is veteran of some of America’s most loved Christian Radio stations and has a long resume of broadcasting success.
Angela Stevens, overnight announcer, landed her first radio job at the age of 17. She spent 5 years working for Clear Channel in Washington, DC at DC101, HOT 995, 98.7 WMZQ, and 97.1 WASH FM. In 2006 she made the move to Christian radio doing afternoon drive before moving to the WGTS morning show. Angela has appeared on CNN’s American Morning, and made guest appearances on the Lars Larson Show, Rodger Hedgecock show, and the G. Gordon Liddy Show. Angela enjoys life with her husband, Adam, and cute little bulldog named Barry (who is more like a child than a dog).
Ken Bishop, evening announcer, grew up listening to Chicagoland Radio and jokes “U-Haul has me on their Christmas Card” list – having worked Radio from Green Bay to Minneapolis, and Virginia to Idaho! Sound of Life listeners are glad he’s found his home – he’s a warm communicator and passionate about Christian Radio.
Melissa Stover has a degree in broadcasting from Penn State, and has enjoyed working in radio and television for quite a few years. Proud mom of two, Melissa relates to the army of mothers in child-rearing years and is a good friend and favorite of listeners.
